Alice's Adverntures in Wonderland - Lewis Carroll

Well i can say that it did not fail to entertain nor to confuse. Growing up i loved the movie of Alice in Wonderland and the book did not fail to entertain and make me smile. There is more of the confusing and silly nature of things not being as they should be. It did move at a very fast pace and i found it to be alittle choppy in places.

I also found that in some places there was not as much detail as the movie and in others there were bits that were not in the movie at all, like twiddle dee and twiddle dum. But i do have Through the Looking Glass and that is also tales from wonderland so maybe they will be in there as well.

i fully enjoyed reading it and would totally recommend it to anyone who wants to see where the movie came from. And with all movies that come from books, the book is so much better then the movie!! Top Notch read!!

Moving along with Jane Eyre...

The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald

I am finiding in all these books so far that all of them seem to have unhappy endings. I am not really a fan of this, they also always have that same theme of unrequinted love and the feeling that they are un worthy of there love's, love in return and so have to go off for a long time and come back weathy and worthy, while the woman has married someone that they wanted to be.

After saying this though i really enjoyed The Great Gatsby, the characters where engaging and real. Again my favaorte charater was the narrator Nick Carraway, he looks into the lives of Jay Gatsby and the others as on outsider. He seems to have an unbised oppion on all of the main characters even when stated that he did not have much love of Gatsby.

All and all a tale of cheating husbands, murder, death obbessive and unrequinted love. I really enjoyed this book and couldnt put it down Fitzgerlds writing style engaged me from start to finish. My only problem with it was that i ded not grow to like any of the charater nor to care what really happened to them, even Nick.  Would totaly reccomend this as one to read.

up next Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde - Robert Louis Stevenson

ok so i no this is not the book i was meant to be reading and writing about next but i was finding it hard to get through Wurthing Heights so thought i would come back to it and move onto a book i knew i would love. Now i am little bit of a Robert Louis Stevenson since i went and visited his house and grave in Samoa, thing i love about this book is it looks at the ideas of good and evil and basic humanity.

It is a very short story so great if you dont want something long to read and also looks at the situation from 3 different perspectives! so all and all a very good book and would def recomend it to anyone who wants to read something alittle dark and looks at fundamental things with in life and wants that we can not act on.

Now i have moved on to The Great Gatsby looks like it is going to be a good one ....
i will keep you posted.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - Tennesse Williams

Book 1 down, 100 to go. I really enjoyed reading this play, admittedly i chose it to start off with because i knew i would  get through it super quick and i wouldn't get nervous about how long it would take me to read it.

I have to admit that is did not like Big Daddy as a character, lets just say he is a bit of an Ass ... the relationship between Marget and Brick was well done, and Marget has some great monologues though out the play and in act two and three you really start to understand the core of there relationship.

The version i read also had the alternate ending and i have to say i like the Broadway version better more intense and has more feeling to it. All and all a very good start.

Next Wuthering Heights.....
